Activity 3: Movie Analysis (Presentational Speaking)
In this activity you will pick a school appropriate movie of your choice and create a screen cast of yourself using screencast-o-matic.com to record yourself describing the movie. You will describe the same elements as before.
1. Choose your favorite school appropriate movie to talk about.
2. Go to screencast-o-matic.com/account to create an account. Use your school issued email to create an account as we will come back to this tool throughout the school year.
3. From the main screen on the website click "start recorder". You will be prompted to download the recorder to your computer if you have not already done so in the past.
4. Once you have the recorder installed, from the recorder you will click on the video camera icon so that it is filming you. Click on the record button. You will see a 3 second countdown. After the 3 second countdown it is time for you to speak.
5. In Spanish you will describe the setting, main characters, movie plot, climax of the movie, and how it ended. Your recording should be 2-3 minutes long. Please refer to our class presentational speaking rubric for how you will be evaluated.
6. Download your video file to your computer. Once you have done this upload it to your Google Drive and share it with me at rdsmith.clarkston.k12.mi.us.
